Jon Stewart devoted most of last night's Daily Show to discussing the battered climate bill, addressing it as though it were a superhero, and talking to Steven Chu. Which makes for a fine evening's entertainment by any standard. In the clip above, he delicately describes the process by which the
Waxman-Markey climate bill was stripped of its power, using his trademark subtlety and careful wit--needless to say, a cartoon donkey and a pants-less man make appearances. After the jump, Jon highlights another qualm many have with the bill--it's boring as hell.We already know
he's got his doubts about it--and here's Jon trying not to fall asleep while he explains the climate bill.
And finally, Stewart rounds out the program with a nice interview with Energy Secretary Steven Chu--they talk global climate change, white roofs, energy efficiency, and how Chu takes on climate deniers.
