Green Inaugural Ball Announces Rockin' Musical Headliner

The Green Inaugural Ball, presented by Planet Green, is kicking off on January 17th, and there's a special musical treat for event attendees. We're very excited that one of our Top 5 Buzzworthy Green Musicians was selected to play at the Ball!

Read on for which Grammy Award-winning musician will play, and more details about this very cool event. Wyclef Jean, will perform at the ball on January 17, 2009 to be held in the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington DC. Jean is not only a great musician but also a philanthropist. His charities, Yéle Haiti Foundation and Together for Haiti, are improving thousands of lives through education, health, environmental and community improvement projects.

Also at the event will be Margie Alt, Executive Director of Environment America; our very own Graham Hill, Founder TreeHugger.com and VP of Planet Green Interactive; Summer Rayne Oakes, model, activist and on-air correspondent for Planet Green and Christiana Wyly, environmental entrepreneur.

The Green Inaugural Ball won't just talk about green, but will be green. It is designed in every way to have a minimal environmental impact, and 5% of each ticket sold will be donated to one of the event's non-profit partners.
