CleanTechies Beats Out Non-Green Blogs for "Best Business Blog" Finalist

The Weblog Awards are a fairly big deal in the blogosphere, and when green blogs beat out others for prime finalist spots, it's a good sign that blog readers are catching on.

CleanTechies is a business blog focused on information from the CleanTech industry, and it beat out 5,000 blogs for a spot as a finalist in the "Best Business Blog" award competition. But what makes this such an achievement is that it was the only green blog in the category.

Read on for what you can do to help this green blog get some recognition. Until January 13, you can head over to the Weblog Awards site and vote for CleanTechies. Right now it's in second place. The San Francisco-based blog features industry experts talking about trends in the CleanTech industry.

The Weblog Awards are actually a real kick to participate in, and you vote across dozens of categories for the best of the best. It's a growing award system and can use more emphasis - or at least a special category - for green blogs. So if you want to do a little green activism while you're visiting (other than voting for the greenest blogs in each category), suggest to them that they add in an extra environmentally-focused category to next year's run.
