"Buy One, Give One" Condoms Help Spread the Love in Haiti

A while back I asked whether Sir Richard's Condoms were the most ethical condoms on the planet. From working on recyclability and reuse (of wrappers, not condoms!), to seeking FSC-certification for their natural latex rubber, the company has some impressive credentials. But it was its "buy one, give one" model of funding condom donations in poorer nations that really caught my eye. And that program is now, ahem, coming to fruition as Sir Richard's announces its inaugural donation to Haiti:
The Sir Richard’s community announced today its contribution of 500,000 condoms to Haiti. The condoms will be made available for free at Partners In Health’s (PIH) clinics including the Mirebalais National Teaching Hospital, built by PIH in collaboration with Haiti’s Ministry of Health. Scheduled to arrive in late spring, the contribution marks our first step in helping address the global shortage of condoms in developing countries by giving a condom for every one purchased.
Crucially, as I noted in my post on Sir Richard's Condoms doing double duty, the company is consciously working to be culturally relevant to Haitians, working with Marc Baptiste, a Port-au-Prince native, as creative director to create a separate brand called KORE—a Haitian slang term which translates as "I have your back."

But there's more! Sir Richard's is donating an additional condom for each tweet or Facebook post in celebration of National Condom Week.
