Bittman, Pogue And More On Living A Sustainable Life

I really do not know how the New York Times defines "sustainable"; one is tempted to fall back to Bill McDonough's old joke "We still have people talking about 'sustainability'! Nothing is more boring. Are you proud if your marriage is 'sustainable'?"

Tara Parker Pope never heard the joke and does actually discuss sustainable marriage, in The Happy Marriage Is the 'Me' Marriage, while more to the point, Mark Bittman discusses how to eat: Chop, Fry, Boil: Eating for One, or 6 Billion, James Gorman puts invasive species on the menu in A Diet for an Invaded Planet: Invasive Species. David Pogue looks at our need to replace our tech in Getting Over Our Two-Year Itch. More in the New York Times
