Five Feet of Sea Level Rise Possible by 2100 - Another Study Ups Projections For End of Century

The big question about sea level rise is no longer if multi-meter rises will happen, but how quickly. The latest estimate from the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (coming via Reuters) is that by 2100 "global sea level rise is project to rise by 0.9 meters (2' 11") to 1.6 meters (5' 3") by 2100 and the loss of ice from Arctic glaciers, ice caps, and the Greenland ice sheet will make a substantial contribution."
