Gorgeous Lights Keep Cassette Tapes Around a Few More Years

Lighting ideas out of used, and unexpected, materials seems to be a theme of late. Last week we saw some great chandeliers and lamps out of ink cartridges. Today, we see these beautiful lamps made from old cassette tapes by designer Vanessa Moreno of ooomy design.

They're constructed simply of plastic zip ties and second-hand tapes. How's that for keeping it beautiful, simple and cheap! Cassette tapes, if you still have them hanging around, have a surprisingly wide range of reuses...
