Deliveries of Model S are Scheduled to Begin in Mid-2012

Soon after showing photos of the cosmetically updated Model S and announcing that it will raise money for the Model X, Tesla is now opening up Model S reservations to Canadian customers. Exact pricing for Canada is not know yet, but because of the exchange rate, it shouldn't be too far from US pricing. "Tesla will produce 5,000 Model S sedans in 2012, before ramping up to 20,000 units per year in 2013. The first 1,000 cars off the line will make up the North American Model S Signature Series, equipped with the 480-km range battery pack, unique badging and comprehensive options." You can make a reservation online on Tesla's site (just make sure to pick the right country in the dropdown menu), and Tesla will open a store in Toronto "in the near future". Via Tesla.
