Politicians Will Choose Biofuels Over Electric Vehicles

It's not just the timing of peak oil that has UK Government at war with its own advisers. Business Green reports that Bernie Bulkin, non-executive chairman of the Office of Renewable Energy Deployment (ORED), part of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), has slammed into Government ministers' unwillingness to think outside the box when it comes to renewable transportation fuels:

Bulkin saw the major challenge to rolling out EVs as being the need for "a maximum amount of systems thinking", however that was something he believed politicians "hated".

"Politicians like to get up in the morning and say, what do I get to announce today? Where can I go? What can I open? And how will I get that through and how will it sound on television?
