Kevin Rose, of Digg.com fame, wrote on his twitter feed today: "someone leaked me some tesla model s (electric car) pics, seems to have a huge touch screen display". He then links to a Flickr photo album that contains three photos (more below). The most intriguing one shows a not fully assembled interior, and there's a huge screen.

Notice the Tesla logo. This could have been photoshopped, so it's not really a proof of anything, but if it's a photoshop job, it's pretty good and matches the official teaser photo of the Model S.

The official unveiling is at 3:30 Eastern Time today, and we'll post about it then. We won't know if those pictures are real until then, but I have a feeling that they are...

While you're at it, follow Kevin Rose on Twitter. As Founder of Digg and co-founder of Revision3, he always has a finger on the pulse of new technology (check out his interview of Al Gore for Current TV). You can also follow @TreeHugger, @PlanetGreen, and my personal account is @Michael_GR. For more info about what Twitter is and how it works, check this out.

Update: This story is everywhere. BoingBoing, Jalopnik, ABG, CNET, Ecogeek, Huffington Post Green, Gizmodo...

Update 2: Seems like Kevin Rose did a better job than Tesla Motors. Their official website doesn't have any info, photos, or specs about the Model S. They didn't host a video feed of the unveiling, instead pointing to a LeftLaneNews page. Problem is, the LeftLaneNews video feed crashed, and when it was actually on, it had no sound. The only thing we could confirm from the short time it was on is that the car on the leaked photos is the real Tesla Model S electric sedan. We'll update you again as soon as we know more.

Update 3: Check out our Tesla Model S slideshow for more photos and more information about it.
