Elon Musk wearing a suit?!?

When you see Elon Musk wearing a suit and a tie, you know it's important. For those of you who missed his letter explaining why a Model S caught fire after hitting a piece of metal debris at high speed, here's a short interview that he recently gave that explains the situation (though if you want all the details, check out the letter). He also responds to criticism from a VW executive. Check it out:

As we wrote when reports of the fire first came out: there were 187,500 "highway vehicle fires" in the US in 2011 (the last year for which data is available), and that's just for highways... But of course, when something is new it always attracts a lot more attention.
