BMW H2R Concept Car

The Ultimate driving machine just got futuristically green. BMW’s H2R concept car is one of a new breed of racecars adapted to run on liquid hydrogen fuel. With a 6.0-liter, V-12 engine, it’s based on the 760i’s gasoline-fueled power-plant and generates 232 horsepower—enough power to bring it up to top speeds of about 187 mph... In September, the car set nine international records for hydrogen-powered vehicles in just one day, including sustained speed of more than 180 miles per hour during a mile-long stretch. That’s one car we won’t mind seeing trickle down to yuppie-ville—or beyond. Via ::Sustainable Business ::BMW Image via ::NewsStreet [by MO]
