Summer Streets 2008: 7 Miles of Car-Free Streets in NYC
"This is New York Utopia!"Sami recently wrote about New York City's Summer Streets, three consecutive Saturdays, August 9th, 16th, and 23rd, when almost 7 miles of streets will be closed to cars (like the original Ciclovia in Bogota) in NYC.Two days ago was the first of those days, and judging by the video above, it was a great success. Not only biking, but also jogging, dancing, roller-blading, and all around good times. If you are in NYC, mark your calendar: August 16th and 23rd.
