How To Build A Sidewalk - By Bike

Writer and designer Bart Hawkins Kreps of Port Hope, Ontario, is also a serious cyclist. Cyclicious points us to this video of Bart building a new sidewalk for his house, moving almost 4 tons of granite with a trailer behind his bike. That is dedication. Or madness.

The granite is free and left over from a quarry operation; the gravel is gathered from the shore of Lake Ontario and moved by bike as well.

Bart not only hauls granite, but he hauls butt on his bike. He writes about his trips to the Arctic on a bike, and other bike stories here.
