VELOBerlin invites filmmakers to submit their video art relating to the theme "The Love Cycle" for this year's competition. Entries must be submitted by the 17th of January 2014, so grab your camera and get creative if you don't have a film already off the cutting table.

If you have not yet seen Guillaume Blanchet's The Man Who Lived On His Bike, the winner of the 2013 premiere VELOBerlin Film Award, check it out for inspiration -- the still above is from his film.

In 2013, over 300 submittals were reviewed by a committee of experts from interfilm Berlin to narrow the field to 20 films that were voted on by the public to elect the winner. In 2014, 15 films will be made public, with online voting open from February 14 through March 29, ahead of the prize award at VELOBerlin on 29-20 March.
