Phyto-Purification Shower Filters Gray-Water with Grass

This very well may be the strangest green bathroom shower concept we've seen in quite awhile. The Phyto-Purification Bathroom concept wants to both make you feel like you're showering in a pond and recycle your gray water. While strange, it is actually a very compelling design in how it thinks through the process of filtering water through natural processes. Inhabitat points out, "Using a natural filtering principal, this mix of modern design and nature is a mini eco-system able to recycle and regenerate gray water."

The water from the shower is channeled into a collection of plants, where the sand filters out the larger particles and the roots of the reeds remove heavy metals and bacteria. It was dreamed up by Jun Yasamoto, Alban Le Henry, Olivier Pigasse and Vincent Vandenbrouck. And while most people won't want this in their bathroom, it could be an interesting and beautiful addition to eco-resorts, spas, and cabins.

If anything it would pair well with the moss mat.
