Petz Scholtus, Barcelona, Spain

Petz left Luxembourg to study eco-design in London, trying to figure out what it’s really all about and how green she could make things. Her work took her to the small Tanzanian island Pemba, the Catalan capital Barcelona where she worked with Curro Claret and Javier Mariscal and the Netherlands where, together with fellow treehugger Leonora, she worked for Demotech. She hurried back to London just in time to finish off her ba eco design course with her final project locaLunch.
After a project for Thomas Heatherwick Studio she moved back to Barcelona where she’s living now, working on her R3project (sustainable renovation blog), as a freelance eco designer (see 1st TreeHugger product, the StuffBump) and green consultant. She also manages o2Spain and Pecha Kucha Barcelona.
Petz loves simplicity and good design, making practical and fun things, bringing people together (the more the better), travelling, speaking 5.5 languages, scuba diving, the Eden Project in Cornwall, open air parties, coffee and chocolate.
Check out Petz's studio Pöko Design. Petz can be contacted at petz at treehugger dot com.
