Cape Farewell
Cape Farewell is a UK-based organization that pioneers a cultural response to climate change by bringing together artists and scientists on expeditions to the front lines of climate change. This year's expedition to the High Arctic brings together leading artists, writers, playwrights, architects and scientists from six countries, who will crew the 100-year-old sailing schooner 'The Noorderlicht' on a three-week journey north of the 80th parallel northeast of Spitsbergen. The blog, written and contributed by various members of the artist/scientist crew, will chronicle the images, stories, and artworks that bring a profound immediacy to the way a warming planet is affecting this fragile environment of melting ice--and our civilization.
